What we do

The practice works all over the UK and beyond providing specialist advice on building or refurbishing performance venues from village halls to full scale school and professional arts centres, and on architectural lighting schemes for public buildings.

We work on a fee paid basis, and have no commercial links with manufacturers, distributors or contractors.  This enables us to provide a truly independent and impartial technical planning service, devising the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions for your building.

To ensure you receive the specialist services you need, we use a nucleus of independent associates who work as part of our team when required.

You can be sure that we will always work sympathetically with other Design Team members, especially those who have little or no experience of theatre consultants or architectural lighting designers.

If you only require outline advice rather than a full consultancy service, we’re happy to provide this; and if you’d like an independent assessment and/or witness test of systems designed and installed by others, we can provide that too.
